This year I am teaching Beginning, Intermediate and AP Studio Art: 2D.
I am absolutely in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains - living in the area is such a blessing for my husband and I to be able to come back home to.
This will be my fourth year teaching. In past years, I taught Visual Arts in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Previous to that, I was in Asheville, NC student teaching. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2013 with a BA in Art Education. I have called NC my home for ten years now and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else.
My artistic background is largely ceramics. I love creating art using all medias, however I am particularly fond of getting my hands dirty with clay. I took art classes all throughout middle and high school, signed up for art every chance I could. The very first time I honestly remember loving art so much that I wanted to do it professionally was in the 5th grade. Ever since, I haven't been able to stop. I was in high school by the time I realized my personality would make me a great teacher. As I started college, I began my track towards the arts and education and never changed paths.
